Colsons released Vino Tripel, or Italian Grape Ale, its second beer, just in time for the (fifth) Mississippi Craft Beer Festival in June 2019. Had at The Pig & Pint, Jackson, Mississippi, on draft into pint tumbler.
It is not clear whether this 6.00 ABV grape must beer should actually be called a tripel, or perhaps a fruit and field beer. In any event, fermentation at a lower temperature using Champagne yeast and the use of Riesling grape must have created an interesting beer with a saison start, pilsner middle and champagne finish, marred only by being a bit too sweet for my taste.
