Appearance: Pours a clear, light reddish body without much appreciable head formation.
Smell: An aromatic tone of raspberry with a little, slight medicinal hint raspberry sometimes exhibits. A sweet scented dollop of jelly with some floral, tropical hibiscus touches.
Taste: A sweetish, jelly-esque flavor, a combination of raspberry and hibiscus. Tart berries, tropical and floral with that medicinal hint from the aroma. Ultimately, it's a flavor akin to Kool-Aid or perhaps a Crystal Light.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: So-so! Kettle sours typically are relatively lower in alcohol, but I guess we need to differentiate them as being a specific 'session' sour. More woods sounds more important, more special -- it's not.
