I love the unique sweetness here and it's kind of hard to describe. I get kind of a honeycomb candy vibe with just a little chocolate to it. Molasses, peanut brittle, fluffernutter, figs 'n' raisins, and vanilla all come to mind as well. There is a little bitter oak at the end and plenty of smooth brown liquor throughout. Really top notch, glad to have tried this.

Picked up a 500 ml bottle from the Appalachian Vintner in Asheville 8-15-23 for $13.99. 2022 edition; sampled 10-13-23.
Beer poured red tinted brown with a very nice tan head.
Nose has notes of a huge dark fruit malt base with a touch of caramel.
Taste is very nice as the large malt base gives us notes of caramel, toffee, and dark fruit. Barrel brings a touch of vanilla. Finishes nicely balanced as the barrel rounds out the malt base very nicely.
Mouthfeel is full bodied and deliciously smooth.
Overall i am very impressed with Town's barrel program. Will definitely look for them the next time up in Asheville!
