a hopped up wheat beer in a funny can, more refined than it looks, drinks almost crisp and clean for what it is, great hop profile on it, amarillo and idaho 7, lots of citrus and melon character, no greenness at all, almost no bitterness, and not so heavy that it covers up all the wheat malt, really good proportions on this, and overall both more interesting and more drinkable than most american pale wheat types, very well done. the high carbonation is key here, the hop fruitiness seems to ride that, and the best parts of these hops are elevated by it, ripe cantaloupe, meyer lemon, and juicy mango, but its never sweet. there is enough from the wheat to keep it beery, its grounded, earthy, a little bready, mostly dry, but the wheat is fluffy and bold in here, needed to balance the hops. i like how hoppy this is without being bitter, and i like the robustness of the recipe overall, its very modern but also relatively unique as they go. i was impressed with just about all the rockwell beer i drank in saint louis, everything seems creative and inspired and really dialed in. this would appeal to an ipa or pale ale drinker just as much as it would to a wheat fan, almost a new zealand hop thing to this, a crusher for how flavorful it is too!

On tap. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, white of foam. It smelled of cracked wheat, citrus and floral notes. Sweet caramel and wheat with a citrusy bite.
