I'm trying an 8oz glass of this beer off the tapper at the brewery. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is leave some lace. The scent had tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with tropical fruit and a spice blend. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a great beer.

a sturdy ipa here, hazy, and with a unique hop profile. it wasnt the ipa types that turned me on the most from rockwell, but like all their beers, they were very well done too. this one has mandarina hops in it along with citra and equinox, a clever putting together of varietals, and all of them do their thing in this. its a little green with some mild bite on the finish, but largely dry hopped and without too much bitterness, its just a little vegetal to me, as a lot of these modern ipa types are, but its not offensive or anything, and the freshness is obvious here. i get clementines, green grapes, ripe cantaloupe, key lime, and wet pine, quite the mix of hop layers here, and whats there in the smell is also there in the taste, no fall off from one to the other at all. some weedy dankness in the middle, but this doesnt feel sticky like some of them do in the texture. its clean in terms of the fermentation, has enough pale malt to support all the hops, and even seems balanced as they go, with a little more malt contribution than is common in beer like this, even though it remains dry. i love the mandarina hops in this context, and there is enough of them that they arent overwhelmed by the others. a little fuller bodied, i probably wouldnt want a half dozen of them, but i sure enjoyed a can. these guys are on fire, not a bad beer in their lineup currently!

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and toasted caramel. Strong piney bite with citrus and sweet caramel.

Light copper to dark gold in color with a hazy complexion. There’s a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering nearly all of the top. I smell tropical fruit. I taste pineapple, pear, and similar tropical fruit. The mouth is resinous and and lightly sticky.
