Black in color with moderate light penetration when held up to a light. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering half of the top. The aroma is of fig and dark, lightly roasted malt. I’m tasting dark, bready malt. The mouth is crisp and approachable.

16oz can. Poured out a deep, dark brown color with a good-sized, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of roasted notes, coffee, dark chocolate and toffee. Strong roasted malt taste with some coffee and enough caramel/toffee sweetness for balance.
