Can purchased at brewery a couple weeks before consuming:
Pours medium brown, maybe a slight lean to the light side. Head isn't much to look at, but isn't evaporative or anything. Unfortunately, the nose seems to be a different story, as I can't get much of any aroma at first. Eventually an oddly astringent toasted malt scent comes out, not one I am a fan of.
This is a light brown ale, at most medium light overall, with moderate carbonation. The taste starts out fairly generic, but with some warmth, a little toasted note comes in. There's also a little tang in the finish that evokes fruit in a very generic way that also makes me think a little bit of a Vienna lager. This is a neutral beer that has hints of what I expect from a brown ale, but is more amber-ish in nature. I want to say it leans in the direction of today's Newcastle, but I haven't had one of those in a while, so it's an imaginary comparison.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
