Appearance: Brown color with a slight rusty hue. Opaque. Head is modest and moderately persistent. No major issues.
Aroma: Strong plum character upfront. The note is quite fresh and very pleasant. In the background there is chocolate, more on the milk chocolate side. A very nice combination, although there is a slight mineral touch (?).
Taste: Similar impressions as in the aroma, but less pronounced. The beer is fairly dry with low bitterness. Because of that it comes across a bit thin; it seems that the malt flavors are too subdued, which creates this impression. No burnt character, very low roasted notes. Slightly tart. Overall tasty.
Mouthfeel: Low carbonation. No alcohol warmth. Dry.
Overall: A very pleasant beer — wonderful on the nose, weaker on the palate but still acceptable. In my opinion, a stronger roasted counterpoint to the plum would make it even better. Nevertheless, recommended; a very interesting beer.
