Served in a stein. Pours a lovely copper hue with a translucent clarity - not much of a head due to a lack of space - just a swirl and a tight band around the shoulders. Nose is very subdued due to being served too cold-perhaps some nutty aromas and light, toasted malts. Taste is nutty with a hint of chocolate malt - kind of weird for the style. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body, but much closer to the light side of the spectrum, with a mild, even carbonation. Overall, not really my jam as far as Marzen’s go.
