Presentation: 32 oz. crowler with the canning date written on the label. Served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: The white, two finger head goes away pretty quickly and leaves behind a foam layer that stays until the and a lot of lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a beautiful, clear gold color.
Smell: It's a wonderfully warm and sweet aroma of fresh raisin bread. The cinnamon and bread notes are very pronounced. A touch of ginger shows up in the background as well.
Taste: Pretty much a mirror image of the nose. There's a rich, bready presence up front with cinnamon and raisins. Then a slight, ginger note comes through. A mild, hoppy floral bitterness balances things out in the aftertaste but it's barely noticeable.
Mouthfeel: Even though it has a strong bready character it still feels relatively light and refreshing. It's a damn well executed texture. Carbonation is medium.
Overall: A wonderful beer by REBL that takes blonde ales to another level. The aromas and flavors are just fantastic, well balance and very enjoyable.
