Served this Red Ale on tap, at the brewery. Poured a amber/reddish color, produced a thin white head, poor retention and poor lacing. The aroma had a bit of caramel malt, but overall there was not much to it. Light in body, some malted grain, some caramel, and dominated by the funky well water taste that all of the beers had. This was really hard to choke down. Bad...Just Bad...

Appearance: It had a great red amber body. A moderate off white head with average lace.

Smell: Very perfume like. I honestly can’t make up my mind whether I liked it or not.

Taste: A bit hoppy for this style but it was well balanced with the malt flavor so I can’t hold it against them. There were a lot of floral like characteristics to the hops.

Mouthfeel: On the higher end of light. Mildly crisp.

Overall: Not bad.
