A Colorado IPA if there ever was one, with a strong malt backbone that balances a bold, clean hop presence from New World varieties. This approachable ale is pale in color and an easy-drinking. A Denver-cultivated yeast strain imparts huge mango aroma and 2-row barley, mashed at a slightly higher than average mash temperature to strengthen the beer’s malt backbone. And finally, the hops. Mosaic and Citra hops are the stars in this IPA. It's balanced with bittering Apollo hops and filter for clarity so this beer sparkles.

Big, puffy head and a balanced nose with herbal and floral hops facing off against notes of caramel and pine. The flavor has a nice complexity and depth of bitterness you don't always see in west coast IPAs too much these days. A little grainy in the finish and the aftertaste is a little inconsistent. A little different take on the style, at least.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is full of oranges, mango. Taste is the same as the aroma, some pineapple as well, moderate bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Mostly clear pale gold appearance with a large white head and good lacing. Citrus centered aroma dotted with notes of tropical fruit. Taste stays focused on the same things the schnozz picked up although the tropical fruit is more pronounced. Decently bitter, well carbonated mouthfeel leading to a lingering finish.

Appearance:
Pours yellow as a lemon lollipop with a snow globe's worth of sizable white flecks suspended within. A choppy sea of snowy froth forms the head and laces like sea foam dashed across a stone jetty. Gradually reduces to a docile, straw-colored halo.
Bouquet:
Candied lemon and dried mangoes charge forward; a fruity vanguard heralding a robust gust of citrus hops.
Feel:
Despite its looks, the sediment is blessedly textureless. This leaves only the ale, whose light body washes down easy while the bubbles fizzle, tingle, and pop. The carbonation sits between low and moderate, which is a happy surprise that allows the modest malts in this IPA to shine.
Taste:
Here, the bouquet sees its own reflection. Lemon drops, a hearty handful of dried mangoes, and spicy hops. This triad of vivacious flavors are mellowed to a balanced state by a conservative portion of white bread malts.

From the can, it pours a hazy light yellow color with a modest head soon reducing to a nice ring. Lacing as you enjoy it. In the nose, it is spicy hops and a bit of malt. In the mouth, it is a bit hoppy with a solid malt base. Yum!

My first taste of a product from a new local brewery here in Maryland. On tap at Salerno's restaurant. I'd read the back story about the founders in the paper and I was excited to try this. It did not disappoint. Brilliant clear, yellow/gold in the glass with a half-inch soft, straw-colored head and bubbles rising throughout. Bright hops in the nose. Flavor comes in three parts, with an initial piney hops taste, followed by what I can only describe as a very pleasant explosion of fruity hops that mellows quickly, leaving a wonderful dry finish that encourages raising the glass again and again. Phenomenal drinkability. I immediately made plans to seek it out in cans. Easily the best IPA I've had in recent memory.
