We love Pilsner for its simplicity. Brewed with German-grown Pilsner malt, Magnum and Saaz hops–-and water and yeast of course. Clean, dry, and refreshing. That’s it, that’s all.

On the sweet side for a pilsner, but that's why I like it. Overall it's pretty solid. Nice strong hops aroma and flavor with a decent malt backbone. Bought it on a whim...I am a big Pilsner drinker, so this one is a keeper.

Poured from the can into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Pale lemon body, and slightly green colored, with nice rising carbonation and fairly clear looking body. Bleach white and three finger soapy bright looking head. Looks like a decent pilsner.
Aroma is pretty mellow. Light touching malts, a faint hint of honey sweetness and bread. Doesn't come off quite clean, but a hint of sticky toffee slightly. Mild sensing herbal hop to go along with it also on the nose.
Palate seems to get the job done. Light touching bready malt and honey, not surprising from the hinted nose. A little bit of dull crispness on the mouthfeel and more of that sticky malt quality on the finish. Does manage some bakery flavor on the aftertaste and some grass herbal presence that isn't too bitter either.
Not bad for a pils.

On tap in College Park at the Maryland / Purdue game.
A - Really dark gold borderline light amber colored pour with thin white lacing. This doesn't look like a Pils.
S - Sweet candied malt aroma, that's it. Disappointing.
T - Sweet malt, some honey, and finishes with some earthy hops barely putting a dent into the malt sweetness.
M - Medium body with light airy bubbles around the edge.
O - This is a Pilsner? The color, aroma, and taste don't add up for a Pilsner.

Clear gold, brief bit of white foam, zero retention,
Aromas of hay, honeysuckle, and warm bread, not that sharp, though
Has kinda a generic "beer" taste. A bit of sweet breadcrust, herbal/spicy hops leaning toward hay
Thin bodied and lightly carbonated
Crap

This one was a bit grainy and light on the hops. It actually has a touch of aftertaste, but there really isn't much that stands out about this one.

Appearance: Lightly hazed golden body; large white head, modest lacing.
Aroma: Subtle. Sweet grains. Need deep breaths to smell the hops.
Taste: Crisp, moderate bitterness. Hops coming on a little stronger. Dry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light-to-medium bodied; well carbonated. Short lived finish.

A little bit on the sweet side for a pilsner, but overall it's pretty solid. Nice noble hops aroma and flavor with a decent malt backbone. Could be a little bit crisper/drier.

I really want to like this beer. It's actually pretty good. But way too "amber" for a pilsner. This would be great categorized as such. It's almost oaky rather than malty.
