The bottle-conditioned version of « Au Courant ». We brew this Dark Sour with a blend of Crystal malts and Midnight Wheat and then age it on heaps of Silver Rill Berry Farm’s Black Currants. Pouring a beautiful dark purple, this layered sour has hints of cherry and chocolate, and bursts forth with dark currants.

Ile Sauvage Brewing 'Au Courant' @ 6.8% , sampled on tap (Jan 2020) & a couple of 473 ml can's (Dec 2020)
A-pour is a dark purple from the tap/can to a funky dark purple in the glass with a small dissipating pinkish head leaving a streaky lace along the tulip
S-black currant dominates
T-tart , not quite refreshing , might be the ABV
MF-mild carbonation , feeling the ABV , not well hidden
Ov-such a tart swallow , almost tough
