Not sure what to expect from this one! Poured at fridge temp from a can. Pours very dark brown with a thin layer of off-white head. The nose is clove, root beer, black licorice, dark toffee, and some chocolate. Very interesting indeed.
The taste follows the nose. Big notes of root beer and black licorice. So much so that the dubbel aspect is kind of lost. Don't get me wrong, this is a really nice beer, but it's tough to compare it to straight up dubbels. The cinnamon is definitely there on the taste, along with some bready malts and burnt toffee.

Ile Sauvage Brewing 'Racine' Dubbel @ 6.5% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a light cola brown from the can to a very dark amber in the glass with a small size light tan head leaving a fine spotty lace along the goblet
S-hints of caramel , Belgian yeast in the background
T-sweet caramel start with a slight spicy finish
MF-ok carbonation , big medium body
Ov-just an ok beer
