L- A very elegant deep chestnut, clear, pours with a 5mm pale tan head. [15mins later - holds well]. Just in case, be aware there is sediment in the bottom of the can which stirs up if you part-pour the can.
S- A lovely malty edge, but then that very distinctive Belgian-monastic note that you can find in Tripels/Quads, I was thinking spices, but then it's aromatic, now I'm wondering... 'Is this the bubblegum facet of which some speaketh?'; it would fit.
T- Ooh ohhh, It been a while since I had a GOOD solid beer like this. Deep, some leather and roasty-toasty, then into a deep mildly spicy zingy (on the palate) interlude. Occasional, and for me welcome, subtle yet clear ABV% notes revealing themselves. As it warms a touch the taste is revealing more deep 'puddingy' notes; think the rich pungency of a spoon of cold Xmas pudding, deep stewed fruits+molasses+ a shot of brandy in the mix for good measure.
F- Deep but never ever getting near being over-bearing, a slow-sipping beer ideal for winter
O- What a divine surprise, and from such an understated can. Oh not being funny but it's from Sheffield rather than a Belgian monastry! This beer is absolutely SUPERB, really, it's stunned me, probably the best of the past 100 new beers I've had, should easily be in the top-10% of my all-time (1500+) ratings.
440ml can bought from TremblingMadness/York for home delivery BB: May-2021
ps. Ok now checking, this scores = about 25th out of my 1563 beers to date, yep easily in the top 5% and it deserves it. Interesting to see EmporerBevis below describe a 'Belgian funk' aspect here, nice way to describe it, like a bubblegum+spice combo.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and delivered right to my door by Artisan Ales
Pours a very very dark brown body with good off white head
Aroma is pure candy peel
Flavour is like wise with that quintessential Belgian funk
