#1723 - Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Rested and chilled, I started the pour, usual glass/usual care, but this surprised me how fast it formed head in the glass. I've poured 1/4 of the can and it's 80% foam. Not a problem just noting a suggestion => take the pour reeeeeally slowly! .... with the 1st top-up I probably get 1/2 the can poured, enough to begin.
Pale gold with medium haze, pours with vast pillowy white head that's holding well.
S- It has some spicy Belgian yeast notes
T- Bright, zesty, spice and tamed citrus notes combine into an enjoyable whole. Malts are clearly there in the background as support, but the hop/spice/fruit notes are the dominant star of the action.
F- Bright, refreshing, very good CO2 in the mouth.
O- What I like about this is it seems to be steering as quite a contemporary style but this 'Bunny' has 1) gone for a measured/mature route; 'tamed' as I suggest above^, of not being a sledge-hammer display of OTT hopping [geddit?]. Instead, the hoppy brightness is clearly right on the front yet measured AND 2) it's been given some balls as I sense this has a decent enough ABV% to provide foundation for those hops.
There is no 'Inter-Galactic Alien Bunny Hipster-Invader' with this one (with associated kiddy graphics on the can). Ohhh no, indeed note the coolly confident buck rabbit on the lable, tuxedo, dress trousers and dandy Western ('Colonel Sanders') bowtie. Very nice indeed, one of the most enjoyable beers of the broader 'hipster genre' I have had to date.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! '6.2% Springtime Blonde'.
