Bent Barley Brewing Company

a neat little spot for a brewery, among all the retail and chain and corporate stuff that exists at this mall, this place is like an oasis down there! neat space, all brand new, they have only been open a few months i think, but are already off to an impressive start. high ceilings, clean aesthetic, beer list on the screen, mellow energy in the mid afternoon during the week. no visibility of the brew house from the bar. they had a nice little list of beers working, i was most impressed with their honey kolsch but also really enjoyed a robust black ipa. they are using primarily colorado grown and malted grain, which lends a cool element to their beer, and even have some colorado hops in their beer. the service was incredible, granted i was one of the only people in the place, but i had friendly interactions with everyone on staff, and the bartenders were chatty and kind. i think the beer is well ahead of the curve right now, especially for how young they are, and with the colorado ingredients, they have a unique thing going. i expect them to jump over the crowd of upstarts pretty quickly, the beer was surprisingly professional. definitely check them out if you find yourself down this way, it was a great stop and i left really impressed and stoked on the experience! looking forward to seeing whats next for them!
