500ml can

Appearance: clear golden colour with a medium head. Doesn't look as dense as the Oranjeboom 5%.

Smell: bitter smell with much more alcohol presence than it's 5% sister. Some slight fruity/spicy smell hidden in there, but a bit difficult to catch.

Taste: booze, but not dense. It hits pretty quickly but its not overwhelming. I prefer it to the normal Oranjeboom. It's sweeter and lighter at the same time.

Mouthfeel: it goes down well and it has more carbonation than other beers of the style I've tried. It wasn't great, but it wasn't hell.

Overall: I can see myself drinkin some of these on a night I want to get drunk faster, but it's not a beer I'd choose because it's got great flavours and puts a smile on my face because of that.

this is a very artificial tasting beer, with high alcohols that will burn your mouth. It is super-sweet giving you that cloying nasty after taste all over your mouth.
It seems like they added glucose at the end of the entire brewing prosses to give the beer that particular quality.

Can bought from local newsagents. 500ml, 8.5% Vol.

Pours a dark golden colour, almost no head.

Smells very rich, similar to other super-strengths, such as Carlsberg Special Brew.

Tastes nothing like other super-strengths, actually tastes like a 5-6% Vol premium lager. Very drinkable for its alcohol content.

Probably the best super-strength that's readily-available in Britain, owing to its drinkability.

Golden color. It made 2 fingers head with low retention, though leaving laces.
Aroma of booze, malt and sugar.
Very sweet taste, overall malty with hints of brandy. Dry aftertaste with earthy hop notes.
Medium body with low carbonation, alcohol is less present than indicated by its aroma.
Not bad considering its style, though it is not my favorite one and I found it a bit unbalanced given its sweetness.

This beer is true to the color and is a lager with what some people would refer to as flavor, others a punch. This is soothing to the touch, but be aware of a slight aftertaste that is not the most pleasant if you place your mindset into focus upon it. This beer was brewed with passion, enough said for a lager.

True to its name, the beer is a clear, bright orange with a thin and soapy head. Oddly fruity in the nose; the name and color could be affecting my judgement but I do smell a bit of tangerine here. Slightly beany and floral, with a weird vodka edge to it. The flavor is simple but clean, and it doesn't have that gag-inducing tug of rotgut you get from most other entries in the style. Sweet and honeyed but still crisp and dry, with a very faint lemony hop flavor and almost no aftertaste whatsoever. Duvel it ain't, but certainly the best super lager I've had.
