an all cascade west coast pale ale thats got nice bitterness, is super clean on the ferment, stays light bodied without a ton of more colorful grain, and honestly is a total pounder, really well done, i liked all the beers we had when we visited their little taproom and pizzeria, these are clean and professional beers. this one is just a shade darker than blonde, with nice clarity and peppy carbonation, light and polished. the nose is a little zippy from the cascade and this is not without some bitterness, subtle pine and cannabis, more robust grapefruit zest and pith as well as tangerine, light green tea and lawn, lemon, and clover, simple pale malt base is all it really needs, slightly pils-esque for a flash, but not really grainy in the classic sense, very light overall, fresh and well hopped. the flavor agrees, early onset hops with more fruitiness than the spiciness i normally associate with cascade, but i like this side of the hop too, and the dosage is ideal, nice flow too, a hint of lush almost melon rind character, decent bite on the swallow, subtle green grape fruitiness and herbal freshness. light but balanced, tidy on the ferment, simple in a good way, nicely dry hopped and carbonated too, could drink this all day long. i was quite pleased with the beers in here, not the most inventive stuff, but everything we drank was real well made, a great and modern take on pale ale here.
