A "hazy New Zealand Pilsner". A style that BA doesn't have under the selection of beer styles.
Cabin Brewing's first collaboration brew with Annex Ale Project.
Appearance - Pours a pale straw with two fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, citrus, orange peel, pineapple, bready pilsner malts, hay,and earthy yeast.
Taste - mild citrus and tropical hops followed by the orange peel and pineapple. The bready pilsner malts, hay and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes crisp and dry with the mild hops and mild fruits lingering.
Overall - A brew that in theory had the right idea, however, in my opinion the appearance lacked the "hazy" characteristic that is displayed on the can. Also, elements of this brew were done well, however I wish there was more zing with the hops and fruits. Otherwise, an enjoyable brew.
