Appearance - Pours a deep chestnut brown with three fingers of frothy chestnut head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, bready malts, oak, cinnamon, vanilla, hint of coconut, peach, hint of dark fruits, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront followed quickly into the oak, bourbon, cinnamon, vanilla, hint of coconut, vanilla, and peach. The hint of dark fruits and earthy yeast finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky and creamy with all ingredients lingering in the aftertaste.
Overall - A bold and unique brown ale from the folks at Cabin. This reminds me of drinking a nice bourbon. Another exceptional seasonal brew!
