Cabin's second collaboration brew this time with a long time Cowtown brewery Wild Rose.
Love the artwork on the can! Reminds me of my days in Jasper with my wife along Patricia Lake.
Appearance - Pours a copper with three fingers of frothy white head that leaves some lace on the glass.
Smell - piney, earthy, floral, and leafy hops, pine resin, grapefruit peel, citrus peel, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold piney, earthy, floral, and leafy hops upfront. The pine resin, grapefruit peel, citrus peel, bready malts, and caramel follow suit. The earthy yeast finishes the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops and pine resin lingering.
Overall - A stellar DIPA that boasts the traditional flavours of piney hops and pine resin to a tee. This collaboration brew won't last long and puts Wild Rose back on the map. Kudos to both breweries!
