It was 4 years old when I drank it so while I enjoyed it very much and was impressed by how well it held up, not sure it's fair to review it. But if you want to know, just check out NBW for Feb 18, 2024. Cheers!

1 of 2 Cabin's first anniversary brews. This wee-heavy was barrel aged in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels.
Appearance - Pours a reddish amber with two fingers of bubbly white head that quickly fades.
Smell - bourbon barrel, vanilla, oak, plum, raisin, fig, earthy, leafy, and floral hops, bready malts. caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bourbon barrel, vanilla, and oak upfront. The fruity esters of plum, raisin, and fig come through next. The earthy, leafy, and floral hops alongside the bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast finish the brew off. Nice sweet notes from the bourbon barrel.
Mouthfeel - Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes chewy with the bourbon barrel notes and fruity esters along with the warmth from the alcohol lingering.
Overall - A superb barrel aged brew that demonstrates Cabin's growth and consistency over the past year. The ABV is well hidden in this one as it makes it a dangerous sipper. Well done on this first of two barrel aged anniversary brews!
