Appearance - Pours a hazy mahogany brown with three fingers of frothy off-white head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, herbal and spicy hops, banana, clove, hint of vanilla and bubblegum, bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, herbal, and spicy hops upfront then quickly goes into the banana and clove, The hint of vanilla and bubblegum follow suit. The bready malts, caramel, and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes creamy and off-dry with the hops, malts, and spices lingering.
Overall - An easy drinking dunkel that displays the flavours of the style well. I like how the malts, spices, and hops balance each other out to create a highly flavouful brew. A nice brother to the Rise & Shine.
