Cabin's version a 7% "Black Forest Coffee Stout".
Pours clear black with reddish highlights and 2 fingers of creamy tan head.
Roasty on the nose - bit of char - dark chocolate malt, coffee, dark fruit/cherry, with underlying earthy hops.
Tastes of bittersweet chocolate malt, roasted/fruity coffee, notes of cherry and dark fruit sweetness; earthy hop bitterness.
Medium bodied - creamy; prickly carbonation - lingering earthy roasty bitterness.
Very decent old school stout.

Calgary youth enter post-secondary education.

This complex stout has rich dark fruit flavour from cherry additions, chocolate notes from the
Red Shed Malts and a delightfully fruity kick from the Rosso Coffee beans.

Appearance - Pours a dark chocolate brown with four fingers of frothy light brown head.

Smell - earthy and leafy hops, roasted malts, strong coffee bean notes, bready malts, cocoa, dark chocolate, and earthy yeast.

Taste - earthy and leafy hops upfront. The it goes into the roasted malts, strong coffee bean, cocoa, and dark chocolate. The brew is rounded out by the bready malts and earthy yeast.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the strong coffee notes lingering.

Overall - A bold and flavourful brew that displays the coffee element very well. A nice ode to the Black Lives Matter movement.
