Appearance - Pours a chestnut brown with four fingers of frothy chestnut head.
Smell - mild noble hops, coffee aromas, roasted malts, hint of caramel, and earthy yeast.
Taste - mild noble hops upfront. Then it goes to roasted malts, cocoa and coffee elements. The hint of caramel and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the coffee and cocoa notes lingering.
Overall - A pleasant schwarzbier from Cabin. This one is true to the style and I like the cocoa and coffee notes in this one.
