cold ipa, a style that is really catching on. big dry hop character to this, unique in the aroma, pretty complex hop bill it seems, but nicely proportioned. i think its awfully tricky to make a unique tasting ipa these days, so many all use the same ingredients and processes, so this impressed me not just for being good, which it is, but also for being different. a light sweetness runs through it, maybe a little citrus blossom honey character, then big cantaloupe, tangerine, and meyer lemon notes, as it warms it takes on more sweet orange, pineapple, and lemongrass, really summery and dynamic, slightly herbal, maybe ever so minimally soapy at temperature, and without much bitterness on the back end. the fermentation is impressively clean, and this is crisp to me like a lager, even if its off dry. the hops have some sativa weedy candy vibes too, the hops seem really saturated and pungent without being green or overdone, nice work on that. light to drink but big on flavor, and overall a technically solid and unique tasting ipa, could have stayed for a few pints of this one if i had more time...
