This is a Limited Edition Bochet Braggot Style Christmas Ale.
Caramelised Honey, Oats and Honey malt form the foundation for this spiced Christmas ale. Strawberry Gum, Cape Barren Tea and Cinnamon spices drive complexity and bring Christmas cheer. Store upright. Product is aged on lees. This seasonal creation is ready to drink now, but will evolve with time in cellar. Drink before 2023 preferably. To be enjoyed with friends and family. From the Carwyn One Subscription Pack December 2022. Drunk in July 2023.
L: Scarlett purply brown with a sherbetty, coffee-coloured head. No carbonation was seen.
S: Christmas spices, spruce, raspberry liquorice, citrus. Very unusual, but also very Christmassy.
T: Raspberry liquorice, chocolate, fruit cake, rum, cough lollies/medicine, aniseed, spruce. Finished long and sweet.
M: Quite full with low carbonation.
O: This is a weird but strangely compelling beer. It's definitely a northern hemisphere Christmas beer considering Australia is in the height of summer at Christmas but great to see Oz brewers doing Christmas beers nonetheless.
