Part of the flight at the brewery. Says it is dry hopped with Azacca and Ekuanot.
Has a golden-amber color with a creamy head of 1/2 finger even in the little snifter.
Not much on the nose except for some toasted caramel malt and slight grapefruit-y hop.
Flavor brings slight onion and caramel malt followed by slight papery oxidation, strong grapefruit in the background, some lemon, pine, and grapefruit pith. Very bitter. Ends on onion skin and old caramel malt. A palate buster.
Feel is resiny and heavily carbonated, with quite a bit of alcohol heat. Burns and scrapes the tongue.
Overall, not a fan. Even though it's fresh from the tap it seems like it's on its way out. This seemed like it would be a polite IPA with some very floral and fruity hops, perhaps some dank apricot or passion fruit, and I got none of that. This is pure upper west coast IPA, it may as well have had 30 lbs of Cascade and Columbus dumped into it, and then agitated for half an hour in an open vessel.
