Flight sampler at the brewery.
Has a dark amber honey color, opaque, with a creamy New England style head that leaves hills behind in traditional fashion.
Aroma does bring some nice cloudy hazy aromas - the heavy yeast is here, along with mango and pear, and slight peach.
Flavor starts with cutting pine and heavy resins, suggestions of lawnmower bag; some grapefruit pith and peel behind that with a faint presence of fruity sweet tangerine. Quite a bit of crackery malt too. It comes across too bitter right away and has missed the mark palate-wise.
Feel is heavily carbonated, very slightly creamy, has a good bit of acid, but not really juicy. Alcohol heat is mild to moderate.
Overall this wasn't particularly a New England IPA (advertised as such), this was more of a hazy west coast grass bomb. It does not taste bad but it is not to style. Would pass next time.
