Had Yule Shoot Your Eye Out poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "11/16/21," into goblet.
Pours dark mahogany, with 1/2-finger very light tan head, which soon dissipates to a partial film, leaving only a few specks of lace. Aroma of sweet peppermint off pour, soon joined by classic holiday pie spices, that let a little caramel malt through. Begins dry and mildly malty, then deftly-delivered ("just a pinch" of) holiday pie spices set in, over a nicely-metered now clearly-caramel creamy malt body, before a rather clean, fresh peppermint finish.
Beautifully balanced Winter Warmer, with the peppermint adding just the right festive note, to make NR's Yule Shoot Your Eye Out by far my favorite example of this style.
