Pours pitch black, with a brownish head. Small pour, but if it were a full pour, it would likely be 1 finger. The retention is decent.
The nose is, well, disappointing. Not really getting anything.
Taste - better than the nose, but a bit lacking. There's some licorice, and a bitter aftertaste.
Somewhat watery. Just not a thick RIS at all.
I love this place, and their beers, but this beer is a miss. Hopefully the variants are better.
