Always try to make your dreams a reality. This beer came to our brewer, Nick, in a dream. No, really, it did! The recipe came to him in his sleep and as soon as he woke up he jotted it down and made that dream a reality. Nick wanted to put " The northwoods in a glass" so he brewed this beer with a healthy amount of wild rice and earthy hops. So grab some Hunter's Paradise, the perfect beer for deer camp, a weekend at the cabin, or just a cool autumn night by a bonfire at home.

Saw this at Westside in St. Cloud and I'm always up for a wild rice red ale so here we go...
L-Very impressive ruby red color.
S-Light hints of butterscotch....sugary malts....earthy hops...
T-Again some butterscotch and caramel up front along with some nutty notes..minty, earthy hops.
F-Medium bodied...firm carbonation...
O-Overall this is ok....don't like the buttescotch notes but they don't overwhelm.....love the concept to this one..just not executed as well as hoped for.

Pours a nice deep dark amber. 3 reddish/white, frothy head. Retention is good. No lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is pretty slight, but I get the faintest malt in it.
Taste - Fairly malty. A hint of smoke in the malts.
Decent body.
I'm not the biggest drinker of the style, but this is a good representation of it.
