I wasn't expecting to see what I am with this beer. I was expecting it to be a dark brown beer, or black. Instead it pours a nice red color. 2 finger reddish/white head. The head retention is good. some lacing on the glass.
The nose is very interesting also. I get a nice, and strong peanut aroma. I also get a, I think, raspberry aroma.
Taste is also very interesting, and different. The peanut flavor is less strong than the nose let on. The raspberry flavor is more up front, and slightly tart. Lots of malty biscuit, bread flavor mixed into the whole thing.
The raspberry lingers in my throat. The body is decent.
This is one odd duck - and it works. Delicious.
