This beer pours a fairly clear golden color from the tap. Tons of carbonation rising in the glass produces a fluffy and frothy white head. The bubbles are small, and the head retention is decent. A bit of lacing on the glass.
Nose is somewhat tropical smelling with a dank undertone. Tropical aroma seems out of place somewhat to me. No pine on the aroma.
Flavor is somewhat different from the nose. This beer is a total pine bomb. This pine bomb has a dank undertone that shows up. I think the dankness does mellow out the pine a slight bit.
The body is pretty good. The bitterness from the hops linger, and the hops feel somewhat sticky.
Tasty west coast IPA. I like this style a lot.
