a well refined west coast ipa, clear and pretty light on the malt but fairly sturdy to drink, with a lot of hops and plentiful bitterness but still nice balance, this is nothing exotic but its a welcome reprieve from all the hazy stuff that is continuing to dominate, i think this is well made and satisfying, juicy and bright, nice and fresh when i had it. golden in color, average white head on it, some sparkle and shine, tidy and minimal looking. it smells somewhat classic, maybe simcoe or something up front i get a hint of grapefruit pith and then some juniper character, higher alpha, clean and without yeast character interference, lightly brassy to me, bitter for sure, and with late navel orange and floral vibes, pleasant and kind of summery, light on the grain side which is nice, surprisingly strong too, at no real point is this particularly alcoholic to me. the flavor is good, piney and brisk but also orange juicy, herbal, and bitter, i love the subtle up front mango or peach note too, which turns quickly to christmas tree and citrus, but its a neat little start for this. grain is light cereal to me and way back, dry, and giving just enough structure to this, but its light for what it is. professional in overall quality, i think these guys are making nice beers, still a bit under the radar, but id drink this anytime. well done.
