At Idiom Brewing Co. we believe that craft beer is both a way of life and an art form; ultimately an expression of ourselves. These expressions in beer allow us to create new experiences, and new flavors, for our customers. While our recipes have been honed over many years, we will continue to innovate by utilizing new and/or experimental hops, local ingredients and unique flavor profiles, in an attempt to stretch the limits of our imagination, and that of your palate.

Repurposed space in a historic building complex, along a canal. Small parking lot shared with other businesses and residential tenants, plus street parking. Brewing equipment sits in clear view behind the bar. The bar has two 90 degree angles, two sections for stools and one for ordering. Outdoor patio is at a higher level than the interior room. Interior is divided, with one side for drinking and the other for the on site kitchen. Interior has a ceiling with heavy I-beams, brick walls, and a concrete floor. Added decor with a painted mural of hop cones marching into the brew kettle. TVs at convient locations for viewing. Seating at high and low tables, all with cushioned high back chairs. About twenty taps, with a good selection of styles. Offers cans to go. Kitchen offers pizza and sandwiches. Low key and helpful staff. Pleasant drop in spot, located in an historical district.

Cool brewery on the canal in Frederick MD, with a large taproom with lots of seating, and great vibe. Good selection of IPAs, pales, lager, and stouts. I would recommend this as one of the top choices of the Frederick breweries and there’s quite a few of them in the town.

Vibe- Indoor area is dark and dingy. Live music plays here sometimes and the acoustics suck! also the bands are usualy not great... outdoor seating is great.
Quality- Beers are very good and they have got a little something for everyone while covering most styles. They usually have some strange creative stuff as well.
Service- self serve bar area. the bar is small and the way to order beers is kind of janky. basically you just wait in line for a kiosk even though it is set up as a bar.
Selection- As stated earlier, selection is what this place has going for it and most offerings are good at the very least.

Stopped on a whim while walking along the Carroll Creek Park in downtown Frederick, MD. The wife doesn't like beer, but she asked the very helpful bartender what might be palatable and ended up with an Ice Breaker rice lager, which was perfect for her. I opted for their Generational Gap NEIPA, which was excellent. In addition to the ambience imparted by the creekside setting, Idiom is laid back, kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Live music too. Selection was excellent (although I think it was all Idiom beers).
I could have spent many more hours here exploring the lineup, but maybe another time. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, love sippin' by the creek in the shadow of the old red-brick buildings. Very creative beers, they are clearly holding on to that aspect of their homebrewing roots. Loved everything I tried.
