Easily the best Irish red I've had. Very drinkable and it had a good mouth feel. Not as dry as the as the 3 or 4 reds that I've had but not overly sweet either. No noticeable hop presence. As I've only had it on tap, I'll look for it in stores.

First had: on tap at Big Bear, Coral Springs, FL

Brownish-amber color, clear, with a thin bubbly head. Aroma is pretty muted, light scents of caramel malts, and not much else. Taste was about the same, stale caramel malts, light toasted grains, vague bitter hops. Light body, easily drinkable, but lacking in flavor overall. Mass-appealing maybe, but really nothing special going on.

A - Poured a clear, reddish hue with a thick head of off-white foam. It left some sudsy trails of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled nutty with some grassy notes. Some malty aromas, too.

T - It tasted of sweet bready malt with some nutty flavors. There was an earthy/grassy bitterness.

M - It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - This was a pretty nice Irish-style Red Ale. Sessionable and very tasty.

Sampled from a 5oz sampler pour.
A - Reddish amber. Light tan head with some lacing.
S - A little malt sweetness not much else.
T - Wet cardboard, some sweetness and some bitterness.
M/F - Light body. Delicate carbonation. Light and effervescent.
D - I wasn't a big fan of this brew.

Pours a hazy ruddy amber red with a scattered khaki headcap. Light basic Irash Red scents of red liquorice. Flavor mulled around a soft caramel. Some brewed tea astringency and a bit of Dr. Pepper linger. As far as Irish Reds go, this was a fair example that sits middle of the road of Big Bear's beers.
