From a 32oz crawler filled on 04-06-2025
This beer pours a nice dark amber color in the glass. The beer is pretty clear looking. There's a nice steady stream of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass (I can see it when I hold it to the light). There's a 2 finger tan colored head. The head retention is quite good, and I like the lacing on the glass.
The aroma is actually quite light, and I wasn't expecting this. I do get some hints of caramel. There's leather notes in the aroma. All smells are very light and faint.
Taste - Ok, I am really not sure about this at all. This beer has a very sour flavor to it. I get a very faint caramel flavor to this beer. The sourness is just not fitting with the style at all. I don't think it is an infected sour flavor. I think they intended it to be this way.
That sourness does have an effect on the feeling of this beer, and I am not liking that. This beer does really not feel like a Scotch ale, and feels way light for a beer that is 10.6%
Well, this beer is a very disappointing beer. I really don't know what they were thinking with this one. I don't know if something went wrong, or what. Will I finish the 32oz crawler, probably not.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
