From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter via our friends from across the pond Keith and
his better half Julie! Cheers!
This solid porter pours a dark blackish brown with a nice head of khaki foam that
settles to a thin ring, thin dusty layer, and shows nice light lacing. Nose of caramel, chocolate,
coffee, and toffee with moderate char notes. Flavors hit their mark with roast and char
dancing about layers of coffee and dark bakers chocolate. Warmth gives rise to toffee and
dark fruit hints with hints of leather and tobacco. Mouth feel is medium, medium light
carbonation, smooth, lightly coating, and a bitter malt finish.
Overall, I am becoming a huge English porter fan and this one is no exception.
English Excellence!
Cheers
