Pours very dark brown/almost black; can barely see through the edges of my mug when held up to the light. Khaki head with decent retention. Smells like cocoa, oatmeal, and coffee.. very clean and full flavored taste that matches the smell. Medium body, not chewy, but you definitely know you are drinking a big dark brew. Alcohol presence is so well blended that it is next to not even noticable. Carbonation is just right. Everything about this beer is spot on for an imperial oatmeal stout style, and reminds me of a little bit of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, but fresher, thicker, and double the abv. Does have a slightly American twist, which I am guessing is due to the type(s) of hops that were used. Absolutely fantastic brew, worth every penny of the $17 I spent on this bomber on the way out of the restaurant. Highly recommend 5/5
