From a can dated 10/08/25. Sampled Jan 26,2026
The appearance is about what one would expect from the modern IPA style with a foggy olive-yellow color underneath a modest fading off-white head.
The aroma screams pineapple and citrus hops with a lower profile cereal grainy malts character.
Medium-full mouthfeel.
The taste has a malty, grainy start and then the citrus hop juiciness really kicks in to finish. Moderately bitter.

my first from these guys, who are somehow the darling of something, like pretty sure i saw a few of their beers at a shop in montana this summer, a long way from home guys, what gives? in any event, i was relieved to see some heady craft in my parents fridge, especially nice and fresh, and this is quite delicate and good for having all the hops, almost more in the pale ale range, even with the double dry hopping. approachable anyway. light unfiltered looking haze, a good inch of white head here, basic but well made looking, i like what i see. the nose and flavor hit on known hop elements, i mean, nothing unique here, fresh and good as it is, this could be a citra mosaic el dorado thing, or not all that deviant from it, not introducing anything to the game here, but i dont care because the quality is nice, the point of flavor distinction comes from the grain of all places in one of these, and the ferment is clean, this is dry and minimal and refreshing and then its gone, rare for this style, and i like its ease all the way. there is almost a house yeast element to this that warrants mentioning, a little different than others, not quite sure but there is a farmhouse vibe even though its way back. real good ipa here, does a little more for me than most. yum. great introduction to this brewery for me!

Can from the Packie,
Hazy light gold in color with a decent sized bubbly white head. Tropical fruit and pithy citrus with a hint to much spicy yeasty bite. They say Kviek yeast cant throw phenols, I dont buy it.

16 oz. can.
Can's bottom reads:
"04/20/21
I Inhaled...Frequently"
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a hazy golden body with some lacing. Nose of citrus zest (orange), tropical fruit (mango), and a bit of herbs. Taste of orange, pineapple, and melon. Nice feel and overall, solid little IPA, and at only 6% abv. I could definitely have more than one! Cheers to Northwoods for this treat!

16 oz can, gifted by Evan. Dated 7/9/20. Wide mouthed glass.
Pours what many would call "hazy", blonde-amber, but not juicy or milky; with a creamy spit toothpaste head of 2 fingers receding to 1/4.
Nose is of tangerines, nectarines, and blood oranges, with hints of mango and apricot; some pleasant field and floral tones with hay field and barn and honey. Most of this is achieved from the can as the glass dissipates much of the aroma.
Flavor comes out swinging with nectarines and blood orange, some tangerine and white peach following. Its carbonation is hard but its flavor is soft, giving it more of an upper New England (Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire) vibe. There are differences in style to each micro-region of New England states for sure. Still enjoyable but not a milky juicy treat. Following the fruit assault is candied lemon peel, a little bread, smarties candy, and a touch of sweet wet grass.
Feel is carbonated and juicy, with a slight amount of alcohol heat - just right for 6% - with only slight resins politely gliding and leaving the palate.
Overall this beer is a decent prickly treat. The white peach and apricot notes are great. It's not a juice bomb or a milkshake or anything like that, but it does the upper New England IPA justice. Also, drink it ice cold - as it warms a bit it becomes a bit less enjoyable.
Would trade for again : Likely
