Conditioned on raspberries, blueberries and tart cherries, this already fruit forward New England IPA evokes warm summer memories of eating berries right off the vine, homemade jam, and hand pressed juice. The generous dry hop doses of Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria compliment local, raw wildflower honey used for secondary fermentation.

From a 16 oz. can dated 07/27/21. Sampled Dec 1, 2021. A gift from a friend.

The appearance is light amber with yellow highlights and a little fog under a small, quickly dissipating white head.

Aroma of blueberries, raspberries, and cherries as advertised with a slight floral sensation and a low profile grainy base.

Smooth, medium mouthfeel

The taste starts sweet but then it goes over to all those berries. this was not as tart as I thought it might be although there is a little tartness to report.

A: The beer is somewhat hazy pinkish yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down and left a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of berries are present in the nose - raspberries stand out in particular along with notes of blueberry.
T: The taste follows the smell but has additional notes of orange and tangerine citrus from the hops, which also contribute a light to moderate amount of bitterness. There are also some hints of wildflower honey.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA is very easy to drink. I thought that the taste did a good job at balancing the flavors from the fruits and hops.

16 oz. can.
Bottom of can reads:

“04/14/21
Heart Of The Ocean”

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 5/8 inch, very light pink head over a rosewood colored body with some lacing. Nose of all kinds of berries with a hint of citrus. Taste mirrors nose, very fruity, with an ever so slightly sour finish. Good feel and overall, this would make for a refreshingly sweet summer beer to enjoy on a hot day.
Cheers!!

Can from the Packie
Pours a hazy dirty gold with a hint of pink in it ans a small bubbly white head. Light fruit bitter alcohol and yeasty phenols. It has lots of that kviek funk that everyone I know says I'm crazy for noticing. Not the beer for me.
