Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass. There was a bottled-on date of 8/17/22 on the bottom of the can with the quote "Trick or Treat?", and I drank this less than 1 month after purchase.

Appearance: Deep Amber/orange, with some haziness. There is a 1-finger white head when poured. The head lasted about 1 minute, and left a very small covering. There is a medium amount of lacing left on the side of the glass.

Smell: Some pumpkin aroma, but mostly citrus and pine aromas from the hops. Not as spicy or sweet as other pumpkin ales.

Taste: Unique taste. I can definitely taste bitterness from the hops with only a little pumpkin flavors. There are some spicy flavors which makes for a unique taste. This is a mix of an IPA and pumpkin ale, as per the name.

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Alcohol matches the 6.4% on the label.

This is an interesting seasonal beer. The mix of pumpkin flavors with IPA are OK. I mostly get regular IPA flavors. Not the same as my favorite pumpkin beers from Weyerbacher or others that have more body, more pumpkin flavors, more spice, and other flavors.

From a 16 oz can dated 08/17/22. Sampled September 2, 2022.

Handsome looking amber-ruby red-orange pour underneath an off-white, lacing leaving head.

I expected at least some pumpkins spice on the nose but that was not the case. Bready malts and pine and dank hops, Not a whiff of cinnamon or nutmeg. A disappointment that.

Light-medium mouthfeel.

Again, the taste has a sweet grainy malt presence with a lot of pine and dank hop characteristics but zero in the way of pumpkin spice. Yes, it is supposed to be a pumpkin IPA but where is the pumpkin? Did not work for me.

Although, it was a decent traditional IPA. If they advertised it as such, I might have gone higher with my rating.

I'm not getting any pumpkin or spice whatsoever. Just tastes like a standard IPA to me. Nothing special here.
