This one pours a golden dark brown color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing. At least this one looks the part.
This smells semi-buttery and slick, with acetone, red wine, and caramel.
Something went wrong here, it just does not go down. There's a sharp acetone bite, with a buttery flavor (is it diacetyl?), and a weird tannic red-wine like character. There's very little bourbon barrel, but there is an almost burnt-like flavor, with too sweet caramel being the only discernible barleywine flavor.
