It's not a bad looking beer, but it absolutely does not look the part of a world-class tripel. Slightly hazy and orange instead of crystal clear and golden, with a not very big white head that doesn't last very long. Smells pretty good; quite subtle (I have to give it the benefit of the doubt because I'm slightly stuffed up and the beer is perhaps too cold), with standard tripel phenols enhanced by alluring fruity-floral notes of orange blossom, violet, and lingonberry. Very lovely to drink – frothy and creamy rather than overly airy like many tripels, with a sweet character offset by a dry finish and a hint of alcohol. It is mellow and rounded, again, standard tripel fare but with a very subtle sumac sourness and a curaçao-like note of bitter orange. The finish is super clean, almost too clean, leaving nothing behind. This is a very good tripel, one I could happily drink with some regularity.
