On-tap at Doerak Biercafe in Delft. On to the beer:
This IPA is dark amber red with a head which is an inch thick and leaves spotty lace. The aroma smells like an IPA, with pleasant pine, pineapple and toasted malts holding it together. Perhaps more East Coast than West Coast in intensity, and that is confirmed with the taste. It's a bit of a surprise to see it malt forward. Toffee and fruity esters are the two most noted flavors, then its followed by a little resin and pine. Graham cracker shows up late, but at least it arrived in time. Although its a medium bodied beer, it seems very undercarbonated, like it was from a cask and not a keg.
A solid beer as it stands. As an IPA, there are a few kinks which it could work on to make better.
