Pours out to a dark brown, nearly black color, with a dense foamy head. Medium low level of carbonation. Aromas of roasted malt and some molassas are noted. Flavor is decent, hints of malts, chocolate, earth and herbs. Mouthfeel is good for the style, not too heavy, but has a good consistancy to it. Average drinkability, more than one of these and you are gonna be hurtin' for certain. Worth a try.

Pours a dark brown/black almost a purple or maroon tint in the tan head, no real lace on the glass.
Aroma is chocolate malt balls and maybe some maple syrup and brown sugar with a hint of roasted barley.
Flavor is heavy chocolate with a grape or wine like hit in the middle, almost gets to a very good beer but not quite.
Mouthfeel is smooth, ultra sweet and finishes with a definitive alcoholic kick.
Drinkability is pretty good, nice to style a little bit too sweet with not quite enough balance.
