Originally reviewed on May 7, 2006. On tap at the brewpub. Pour of toasted chesnut and light yellow syrup. Head of foamy off-white cream. No aroma. Flavor is a light and gentles crisp nutty oaky, with toffee, hazlenut and amaretto notes. Smooth and heavily drinkable. Some light lemon in the background. A standard build, clean and well done, but without much complexity.

A style I havent encountered much not enough if you ask me,poured a russet brown with a thin head that really didnt stick around much at all.Aromas of chocolate malt and mineral not much hop presence here, nice flavors going on that chocolate malt is very prevelant with milk chocolate note mainly quite dry in the finish with just a light herbal presence quite light for sure.Simple but flavorful anddamn easy to drink,a nice rendition at least I think from my limited exposure to the style.
